So my cousin Chase is making a homebrew racing game using gameblender. I'm not much into game making, but I think what he is doing is just great. Here is a
link to his game's site, currently inprogress.
So I decided I'd make a little something for his game. I had nothing better to do and I can always use practice in my speed modeling. I created using very little reference a very low poly version of the Voot Cruiser from Invader Zim.

So I've been working on a short film idea, gonna be my project for the next little while. I intend to do it as a flash animated piece, with CG backgrounds. I also intend to see how much I can push flash by way of rendering in passes and compositing later for a non flashy smooth look. So here are a few sketches for the main character of my piece, still working on getting him down, there are only sketches at this point.
The first image is the first page of sketches I came up with when trying to ruff out a character for my short. The second is a ruff facial expression pose sheet I did while trying to lock down the face of the gorilla character, I really like how this part turned out and am close to finalizing the design. The third is the body, this needs a lot of reworking. The shape isn't appealing enough, its still too realistic and not pushed enough.
And the last image has nothing to do with my film at all. I was watching tv while doodling all this and this image randomly popped out. I think its fun, and I think I got the characters likenesses down. Though Brian is taller, so this must be when he was younger (least thats my explanation for it).

Just came across this wonderful piece called
Tyger and thought I'd share it.
Check it out, these guys took a rock solid concept, creative vision and produced a wonderful piece of artwork.
